St Kitts and Nevis - Quiet Time
St. Kitts and Nevis is a small country (8th smallest in the world) located just South of St Martin. We spent approximately 9 of the rainiest days of our whole trip here, and opted to stay on the even smaller island of Nevis, which has a population of about 12,000.

Given it's tiny size, one would expect this place to be relatively inexpensive - but we couldn't be more wrong. The average meal price here is about $15 USD, and it doesn't help to buy grocery's; those are just ridiculously priced. Needless to say I ate a LOT of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches here.
Aside from food being overpriced, taxi's are no different, so just hitchhike. I was surprised to find that they were actually installing fiber optic internet around the entire island while we were there, so all you digital nomads are in good hands.

Ok, now that that's out of the way, I have to say, this was the most laid back, chilled out island we have experienced so far. All the people here are over the top friendly, everyone knows everyone, no one hassles you for change, tries to sell you junk, etc., everyone on this tiny island was so genuine and so madly in love with the place they call home.
We stayed at a hotel called Ouallie Beach Resort. It was located about 20 minutes from the airport and was situated on one of the Caribbeans most renowned beaches. It is the ultimate spot to unwind.

After about a week straight of rain we had an awesome few days exploring the island with John, the owner of the resort, and Pierre, his head of marketing. They showed us some awesome local hot spots, took us sight seeing and hiking, showed us Lovers Beach (Prince Harry was here not too long ago) and helped us get to a Latin music festival that was going down on St. Kitts. The festival was a benefit raising funds for those in Puerto Rico that were effected by hurricane Maria. We wound up meeting the owners of the festival and getting some backstage passes to film and mingle with the artists.
I would definitely recommend getting up to Windy Ridge (pictured above) and hiking ANY of the local trails, they're all awesome. If you're gonna eat out, check out Sunshines and Lime's, both located on Pennies Beach - ask for a tipsy turtle and let me know how many you're able to drink.
Next up we're heading to Antigua to keep this adventure rolling. As always, if you wanna get in touch you can email me here, DM me on Instagram here, or message me on Facebook here.
